    What’s Inside The Quilter's Groove® Design Academy

    This is a step-by-step guide to complete a specific quilting project together from start to finish. 

    By the end of the course you’ll have confidently completed a one-of-a-kind quilt top that you’re SUPER proud of!

    You will be given one module per week of training, and we include 2 implementation weeks. 

    This allows you to focus on each lesson before moving onto the next one. 

    This protects your time, so you won't get overwhelmed (which leads to creative blocks).

    Here’s a breakdown of what you learn week-by-week:

    Week 1:

    Learn which supplies you need to create the perfect design for your quilt top! 

    You’ll discover the specific tools I use when designing quilt tops, gather your supplies and get organized with the quilt pattern we’ll work on together

    Week 2:

    Create the perfect design plan!

    Learn basic ruler work and choose the motifs you’ll use throughout the rest of the course.

    Discover where and how to place those beautiful designs on your quilt top for maximum WOW factor.

    Week 3:

    Move past overwhelm!  

    Learn how to break your quilt down into sections and how to design for each section. 

    Discover my Divide and Design method that teaches you the art of breaking up your quilt into smaller areas.

    No more stress and anxiety keeping you overwhelmed. Instead turn this into a simple and manageable process.

    Week 4:

    Perfect the process of breaking down the quilt!

    You learn techniques to perfect the first part of your plan.

    Week 7:

    Managing Motifs!

    Accentuate your quilt with the perfect choice of motif. 

    You learn what motif to use and where to place them in your design plan.

    Week 8:

    The perfect fill!

    Showcase your quilt and motifs with the perfect fill. 

    Fills aren’t just to fill…. Learn their purpose within the design, and how to choose and scale for maximum benefit.

    Week 9:

    Machine time! 

    Let's get those beauties quilted. 

    Everything you’ve learned so far comes together as you move towards finishing your project.

    Week 10:

    Implementation week!

    Catch up on past assignments or just play.

    Whatever feels right for you. 

    Graduation!!

    At the end of the course, we all hop on a Zoom call together.
